Southeast Asia's KUDIS deliver an electric blend of punk and hardcore with their tape and latest IA release titled Ditelan Bumi. At first listen, the band will have you jumping up and down with their catchy pogo punk and buzzsaw riffing, but stay along for the ride and you'll uncover groove breaks that hit hard. The vocals are like battle cries, each line delivered with full force. Some moments on the tape feel like you're in a torture chamber with no hope of escape, while others feel like you're riding a wild hog on the open road. It's this versatility that makes KUDIS unique. Ditelan Bumi translates to "swallowed by the Earth" a symbol of the irreversible damage of our past deeds and reminder that our actions always bear consequences which we must face. Their self recorded tape was sent to IA for some mixing, then mastered by the legendary Will Killingsworth. Being from Singapore, the band share a city with punkers SIAL, who along with KUDIS prove that the spirit of punk is alive in Asia.
